Rain is on the forecast for the next week.
Humidity is filling the air.
And a bun is how I shall wear my hair.
One thing I’ve set as a goal this year, and forever is to
cut out t-shirts, unless they are oversized H&M ones with great wide
collars (like the one I’m wearing here), or super rad faded old concert t’s…
Because you might pass that deadly attractive ex, or run
into a tall, dark, and handsome (that’s still in, right? ) fella with that fancy 5 o'clock shadow. And you don’t
want to be in that, “I love hamburgers” shirt with the weird oil stain on the
bottom to the left of the belly button on that day.
Nothing wrong with hamburgers, but on that day, you want to
be in the most flattering, banging, yet comfortable outfit.
My goal in outfits is to always feel 100% confident in what
I’m wearing, moveable (in case the glory hits, like Mrs. Mandy Adair says),
with a slight edge to go with my personality.
My favorite thing about fashion is that you don’t have to be
stereotyped into one category to wear it, you can be anything you want to be.
One day, Egyptians goddess meets ballerina, and the next day you can be country
princess. There are no limits to fashion, just find what you lean more towards
that day and then try and attain your personality through your outfit.
Fashion has taught me that it's really not always the clothes, but the confidence you have from within. And my confidence lies in the hands of my Creator. Somedays I don't feel confident or "skinny" or pretty, but one thing I do know is that the moment I open my mouth and ask the Father to reassure to me of who I am to Him, a rush of acceptance and love for who I am comes. Now it may not come immediately, but if I sit for just a couple minutes, He always comes.
Miss you.... Your faith is amazing! Keep it going!
